Individual Therapy with Paul Chiariello, LMSW
A direct, concrete, logical approach for men who think in systems — and want a therapist who does too.
Some people don’t want therapy that wanders. They want to understand the mechanism — why a reaction fires, where a pattern comes from, what actually changes it — and they want a therapist who can keep up, explain the reasoning, and get to the point. If that’s you, you may have found previous therapy vague or slow, full of reflection without a framework. Paul works differently.
How Paul works
- Concrete and structured. Sessions move with a clear logic — identify the pattern, understand how it operates, build a practical way through it.
- Direct, not roundabout. Paul says what he sees plainly and explains the “why” behind it, so the work makes sense instead of asking you to take it on faith.
- Respects how you think. If you process the world analytically — breaking things into parts, looking for the rule that governs them — that’s an asset here, not something to talk you out of.
Who Paul works well with
Paul is a strong fit for analytical, systematizing men — often in demanding technical, engineering, finance, or research roles — who feel frustrated by work, moods, or relationships they can’t quite reduce to a model. He’s especially effective when the goal is understanding a pattern clearly and changing it, rather than open-ended venting.
Sessions & groups
- Individual therapy — 60-minute sessions (also available in 45 minutes for tighter schedules).
- Men’s groups — Paul leads several men’s group options. Placement starts with a free consultation, then an individual session, after which Paul recommends the group best suited to you.
Getting started
The first step is a brief, free consultation to make sure the fit and approach are right before you commit.
